Positively Blessed!
I can't decide on my motto... Optimism is a choice. You can't steer a parked car. Velocity is more important than veracity. Failure only speeds my learning curve. Working hard is no substitute for getting things done. ... I have more.

The End Of Our Norfolk Adventure
The END is here and we have had a great time! We made this trip under the organizational watch of "Exploritas" - a company that organizes educational trips for adults. Everything from our guide the the meals and the events were top notch. We got backstage tours and meetings with some great people as well as talks on history and much more detailed information that makes the days and events so much more meaningful.
Now, back to our regular lives - the daily adventure of the normal!

Jazz tonight
We are at the Attucks theater getting ready for a night of jazz with Joe Magnarelli! It is an intimate setting for a quintet.... Pictures to follow.
MacArthur Memorial
We are a little ahead of our group to tour the Douglas MacArthur memorial. We are enjoying the breeze and shade. Our tour guide grew up in the Philippines and he said that they studied MacArthur in grade school and high school, yet when we enlisted in the US Navy, they never mentioned MacArthur in their historical studies.
Universally hailed as a military genius, Douglas MacArthur rests in Norfolk, Virginia - a town where he wasn't born and didn't grow up. A 5-star Army General in the largest Naval shipyard in the world.
Shenandoah
We originally thought our seats were going to be across a barrier, but they turned out to be wonderful and we literally had front row seats to all the bands like this one.
But the best band was a local drum and percussion corps with kids ranging from 5 years old and up! Recipe: Let the kids take out their aggression in a positive way - beat on drums! Take a look at these guys - what fun!
